    Aerojet Rocketdyne is currently seeking a Production Liaison to join our team at our Orange (Culpeper), VA facility. We are looking for a highly analytical, self-motivated, and organized individual. Candidates will work in a dynamic position with a diverse product portfolio.

     

    This position can be filled at this level or one level higher.

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    30% - Responsible for establishing and maintaining material flow on the production floor. With supervision and training, support day-to-day operations, including but not limited to, generating production documents, moving/issuing material to the shop floor, and coordinating with logistics for on-time delivery to internal customers.

     

    30% - Stage hardware in each work center per the production schedule. Ensure proper identification, on hand stock, and handling requirements of delivered/staged material. This includes Common Inventory, Kanban, and Program Inventory.

     

    30% - Assist with the creation and execution of site priorities and program schedules. Escalate roadblocks and technical issues to keep hardware moving on the production floor. Track hardware status throughout the production process. Report status to management and program teams as required.

     

    10% - Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

    Requirements

    Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).

     

    We require:

    • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct activities for the organization.
    • Excellent communication, Interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with cross-function / cross-site teams.
    • Operations, Scheduling, and Engineering Value Stream experience, or demonstrated willingness to learn.
    • MS Office.

    We value:

    • Prior Oracle/Delmia/Windchill Experience.
    • Demonstrated Lean Experience or Certification.
    • Willingness to learn Material Requirements Planning (MRP) & Manufacturing Execution System (MES) (Delmia, ASCP, Oracle Enterprise Business Suite).

     

     

    Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

    The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
