    Aerojet Rocketdyne Coleman Aerospace is looking for an Associate Human Resources Generalist for it's Orlando, FL location.

     

    The Associate Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for supporting management and individual contributors in various human resources functions, which include Compensation, Employee Benefits, Human Resources Information Systems, Organizational Development and Training, Staffing, and other areas as necessary to ensure maximum effectiveness of the Human Resources function.

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    •  Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
    •         Assists in staffing and/or employment activities, including interviewing applicants, outreach recruiting, evaluating employment applications, etc.  Assists with administering college relations programs. Assist in New Hire Orientations.
    •         Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing as needed.
    •         Counsels supervisors and/or managers on routine Human Resources policy issues
    •         Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as needed
    •         Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed. 
    •         Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
    •         Maintains employee personnel files.
    •         Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes. Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process.
    •         Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner.
    •         Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
    •         Executes ad-hoc Human Resources related projects as needed by the Human Resources Manager.
    •         Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

    Requirements

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology or a related field or equivalent education, training and experience.

     

    Desired: previous Human Resources experience.

     

    Department of Defense and Aerospace Industry experience preferred.

     

    PHR or SHRM-CP certification desired.

     

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

     

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.  May require the ability to travel by air or auto.  May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat.  These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
