    We are seeking an Associate Engineer, Component Product Engineering for our West Palm Beach, FL location. This site operates on a 9/80 work schedule.


    This is an entry-level engineering position for a recent college graduate in support of development of rocket and hypersonic engine components.

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    Under close supervision and guidance of senior staff, the Associate Engineer performs entry-level professional engineering assignments following established policies and procedures. The position requires some independent professional judgment and application of engineering principles, theories and concepts to perform the following:


    35% - Researches, develops and supports fabrication of rocket and hypersonic engine components using engineering and scientific principles.


    35% - Coordinates product development from ideas through product life cycle. 


    20% - Supports investigation and resolution of hardware and process anomalies and issues identified by preventative action/corrective action boards or safety initiative activities.


    10% - Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization and company objectives. 


    Requires a Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other related discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Coursework in rocket engine design and related coursework is desirable.  Strong communication, technical presentation, teamwork, and Microsoft Office skills are required.


    US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.



    Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
