Aerojet Rocketdyne, a major aerospace corporation responsible for the design, manufacture and operation of a number of US critical space and defense products, seeks an Intern - Systems Engineering. This summer 2019 opportunity will be located at our facility in West Palm Beach, FL.
Under close supervision, the intern will perform entry-level systems engineering assignments in the Systems Development Verification and Test (SDV&T) organization. The intern will gain exposure to basic principles, theories and concepts of Systems Engineering for rocket engine development.
50% - Assist SDV&T engineering in the support of RL10 Production and Development programs, including system integration, engine test, test equipment & facility coordination, test article assembly coordination & hardware assessment, instrumentation requirements and coordination, test readiness review & risk assessment.
25% - Support mini-projects which require communication across system and component elements necessary to ensure the engineering meets its commitments and the program meets their goals.
25% - Support data analysis and documentation generation between engine tests including pre-test and data review documentation. This may include preparing and presenting technical work in large meetings.
Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Systems Engineering or other related technical discipline. To be considered our internship, you must be continuing with your education in the Fall 2019.
US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
