Summer 2019 internship position in Redmond, WA.
Hall Current and Arcjet Thruster propulsion systems are key components of Geo-synchronous Earth Orbit satellites used by our military and commercial satellite service providers. Hall Thruster Propulsion Systems propel interplanetary spacecraft to and from their distant destinations. Aerojet Rocketdyne is the premier supplier of these enabling propulsion systems. A key component of these systems is the Power Processing Unit (PPU) which converts spacecraft power from solar arrays to propulsion energy used by the Electric Propulsion thrusters. This intern will work in the Avionics Engineering group and will support our engineering team in the successful planning, design, development and qualification of power electronics used for electric propulsion on-board spacecraft.
