  • Overview

    Aerojet Rocketdyne seeks an Associate Engineer, Electronics Design who will work out of our Canoga Park, CA location.

     

    The candidate will contribute to the design and development of electronics for military and/or space applications. The candidate will be developing technical specifications, performing electronics circuit design and analysis, and executing hardware test and integration activities as a member of the Avionics Electronics design group. The ideal candidate should have exposure to analog and digital design and have hands-on experience working within an electronics development laboratory facility.  

    Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

    Working under direct supervision and following specific standard work processes and procedures:

     

    15% - Support electronics system requirements analyis including contributing to design requirement specification documents.

     

    40% - Perform electronics component hardware circuit design including performance analysis.

     

    30% - Support prototype hardware assembly and test including test planning, test execution, data analysis and reporting.

     

    15% - Contribute to Avionics department performance measurement and assessment.

    Requirements

    Requires Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering technology discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Emphasis is analog and digital circuit design and control system fundamentals is required. Demonstrated teamwork experience required. Strong oral, written and presentation skills required.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Analog circuit design and analysis background.
    • Experience working in an electronics laboratory facility.
    • Exposure to software development tools and languages .

    US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

     

     

    Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

    Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
