Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking an Associate Configuration and Data Management Analyst to join our growing Huntsville, AL location.

 

This current opening may be filled at this  level as posted or at one level higher.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

Under close supervision, the selected candidate will perform assignments requiring application of Industry standard Configuration Management practices and principles supporting development and production environments for multiple programs.

 

40% - Perform configuration management duties verifying various types of Design, Product Definition and Operations data to include drawings, specifications, parts, BOMs, etc.

 

30% - Assist Configuration Managers within cross-functional teams providing guidance and support for configuration management practices, principles, policies and procedures.

 

15% - Perform verification and management of Class I and Class II engineering changes for completeness and accuracy including; configuration identification, bill-of-materials, relationships and affected documents.

 

15% - Participate in preparation for and leadership of Configuration Control Boards.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

 

US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and processes are desired.
  • Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter desired. Familiarity with PTC Windchill, a plus.
  • CMII or CMPIC certification desired.
  • Knowledge of design, development and manufacture of mechanical and electrical systems desired.

 

 

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
