Aerojet Rocketdyne has an immediate opening for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. Under direct supervision, the Associate Manufacturing Engineer performs entry-level professional assignments and follows established policies. This position requires some professional judgment and a limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts.


This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

80% - MBOM AND Parts Creation and Maintenance

  • Lead activities of the Controlled Document Group.
  • Process PCRs, MCRs, annual udates and document releases.
  • Conduct and report monthly MMAS MBOM audits.
  • Conduct review of revised Manufacturing Procedures and Manufacturing Data Sheets to ensure compliance to released MBOMs.

10% - Routing Creation and Maintenance

  • Assess producibility and work locations to create and establish process flow diagrams and routings.

10% - SOP Creation and Maintenance

  • Perform SOP Audits and corrections on an on demand basis.
  • Assist in documenting and creating new SOPs for new processes.


Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.


The ideal candidate will have the ability to:

  • Interpret and evaluate data and processes.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Read and interpret and evaluate analytical and experimental data.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Plan and develop program plans for manufacturing processes.



Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization. Depending on the location of the position, visual certification requirement may apply.
