At Aerojet Rocketdyne, our people further the exploration of space and help keep America safe! We develop and manufacture rocket engines in Redmond, Washington that are used on a variety of spacecraft. For the Electric Propulsion Technology Group, the summer 2018 intern will support engineering teams in the successful planning, design, development and qualification of electric propulsion thrusters and systems for spacecraft applications.
The Intern will support electric propulsion system programs, including:
70% - Participating in program tasks relating to production hardware and/or support of technology development efforts. Tasks will vary depending upon the intern’s skill set and will likely involve data collection, entry-level performance analysis, software tool development, trade studies, fabrication support, and test monitoring.
20% - Assisting project engineers with presentations and submittals to both external customers and internal staff.
10% - Coordinating activities with other internal departments such as engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality and test.
Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related science/discipline.
US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
