At Aerojet Rocketdyne, our people further the exploration of space and help keep America safe! We develop and manufacture rocket engines in Redmond, Washington that are used on a variety of spacecraft. This intern opportunity for summer 2018 will support either our bipropellant or monopropellant technology groups in the successful planning, design, development and qualification of propulsion systems for spacecraft and launch vehicle applications.
Under supervision, the Intern will:
70% - Participate in trade studies, program tasks relating to production thrusters and/or support technology development efforts. Tasks will likely involve data collection, entry level performance analysis, hardware tracking, and test monitoring.
20% - Assist project engineers with presentations and submittals to both external customers and internal staff.
10% - Coordinate activities with other internal departments such as engineering, manufacturing, quality, and test.
Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related science/discipline.
